Britney Spears On Vacation

I guess it’s true that “money cannot buy happiness”. What do you think?

I admit that I’d like all my bills paid for and the choice to work only if I wanted to and to vacation when I wanted to – but look at all these filthy rich and famous people and all their troubles. All that money, fame and possessions really didn’t do them any good did it? Michael had fame and fortune and obviously was not happy or he would not have been depressed and needed all those medications. Look at that Jon and Kate. Not very happy now are they with all their money for breeding like rabbits? Lindsay Lohan is a drunk and on her way out. Britney Spears hit the dirt. The list goes on and on.

I think I’ll be more thankful for what I have now.

Why does the media always have to bother the famous? They’re people too.?

Why does the media have to harass the famous? Like Britney Spears for instance. She is having a hard enough time with life as it is without the media sticking their crumby nose into her personal life. She’s a human being. She has a right to her personal life. All people do. I wonder how the Papparazi would like to have pictures of them on their vacation or when they are taking a shower or having personal time with that certain someone. It makes me so mad that we have such a nosey culture this day and age. ={

An Answer for Every Question

Having trouble obtaining the hard to find answers to important questions? Youâ??re not alone. Many people donâ??t know where to go for information, especially information that may not be easily found. â??Who won the war of 1812â? is a question that requires no more research skills than â??who shot J.R.â?, and for queries such as these, there are many avenues for finding the answer both online and at your local library. But what about the questions that require an expert answer, or at least an expert opinion? Where do people go when they need professional advice?

Performing some minor electrical repair and want to make sure you know what youâ??re doing? Need to know which vitamin and mineral supplement manufacturers produce their products in pharmaceutical grade laboratories? Perhaps you want to know the right way to prepare a soufflé. No matter what your questions are, thereâ??s help on the horizon from a website devoted to putting your questions together with the people who can provide the answers you seek.

Problima is a new website devoted to do-it-yourselfers, those with technical questions, those with silly questions and everyone in between. From finding the best vacation spots in Bolivia to what prompted Britney Spears new hairdo, Problima seeks to give you exactly what your looking for: answers. Actually, more than answers: solutions. Need to know how to file an extension for your taxes or the best study guides for the CPA exam? Problima may be the answer to your prayers, or at least problemsâ?¦and all for the price of one dollar.

Many problems we encounter require the services of a professional, but what about those instances where we want a more economical solution to the problems we are dealing with? Is it necessary to call a one hundred dollar an hour plumber because the drain plug is stuck in the bathtub? Is an electrician really required for removing the remains of a light bulb that broke in the socket? Do you really need to obtain a bachelorâ??s in chemistry to know why bleach and ammonia shouldnâ??t be mixed? Probably not, and thatâ??s where Problima really shines. By providing a venue for those seeking answers as well as a way to pay experts for their knowledge, they are solving an age old communication problem affordably through the power of supply and demand.

Information Products Online Offer Benefits to Writers Looking for New Opportunities

There was a time when most information was generic, that is, written to appeal to the widest possible audience. Writers might get advice on how to write, not necessarily how to market an article to an online site. Parents got information on rearing their children, not coping with autism.

The Internet changed a lot of things in our culture, including creating a flurry of interest in very narrow topics. Visit the web and you can find out how to market your article on video games to a gaming website or how to talk to your childs teacher about his recently diagnosed Aspergers syndrome.

If TV brought to us the concept of broadcasting, then the Internet is responsible for the concept of narrow-casting, that is, fine-tuning information to appeal to very small but specific segments of the public.

So what does that mean for an enterprising writer? It means that expertise and writing projects that once would have been roundly rejected can now not only find utility and purpose, they can actually be sold.

Heres how it works.

This is based on the assumption that you (like everyone else) have particular in-depth knowledge of many subjects. Whether its catching feral cats, raising orchids, deep-frying turkey, paying down credit card debt, opening a daycare center, or explaining how pacemakers work, most of us cant get through life without acquiring some very in-depth knowledge about some very narrow subjects.

If you cant think of what you might know in-depth consider your education, your jobs, your friends, your hobbies, and projects youve been involved with through your family, friends, and clubs.

Dont worry if this information is too obscure or too off-the-beaten path. Just start to accumulate a list.

If youre a writer, youre also likely to be an able researcher, so you can fill in gaps in your knowledge of fly fishing or recommending cures for snoring. You can even get expertise in a whole new area by talking to experts and conducting your own online research.

In the Internet world, each of these subjects is called a niche. Many niches are actively sought by Internet denizens who are out trolling constantly for information.

Take celebrity sites. There are always legions of Internet people seeking the latest news on Britney Spears. Now raise your sites a little more. There are also people eager to get new quilting patterns, learn to speak Portuguese, find a great vacation getaway in Italy, or write a killer resume.

Each of those is a niche. As a writer, you can develop what are called information products to serve that niche. For example, take the niche of job seekers. An electronic book or e-book on resume writing might appeal to them. You might also write about some unusual job search tactics, how to shine in a job interview, and finding jobs that aren’t advertised.

In other words, every niche has lots and lots of potential information products. And dont dismiss physical products and more traditional services. Staying in the job search niche, you could sell physical products (resume-writing software, briefcases, calendars, expensive pens or other accessories for the job interview) or services (resume writing, job placement).

While all of these are interesting and many of them are viable enough to be profitable (if done correctly), no area is as lucrative as information marketing. You may create an information product for sale; it can be electronic or a physical product on a niche topic.

What kind of products can you sell? E-books are popular; these are downloadable manuscripts. With todays digital printing technology, you can also publish and sell a physical book almost as easily. (Ironically, e-books tend to have a higher profit margin and sell for more money.) You can sell audios, such as interviews with experts. You can sell videos, which are particularly useful on how-to subjects like how to knit or how to transform your home computer into a sound studio.

Internet marketers have known about niche marketing for a while but the biggest stumbling block for many of them is not the marketplace or the ideas or finding customers. Its the writing!

Thats why writers have a great advantage. Internet marketing can be learned (there are many great resources) but writing is a much harder skill to master. Any writer who can successfully identify viable niches and then create products for that niche can become a highly successful Internet marketer by applying his or her writing skills to a new marketplace (with new rules).

Top Five Celebrity Hotspots

With ever-changing trends in today’s media obsessed society constantly influencing the current generation, the developing face of travel sees the conventional package-holiday begin to lose its spark. Holiday-goers are instead now choosing a far more alluring and exhilarating option for their annual getaway.

From themed vacations, to fun-filled adventure packed holidays, we’re here to suggest an alternative twist on your average holiday. If you fancy a taste of glamour or visualise yourself possibly rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous, then look no further.

Here are our top five specialised destinations you are most likely to spot a celebrity:

Ibiza

Despite the persistent rumours claiming that Ibiza has had its day, hordes of visitors and celebrities continue to grace the stunning soil of the â??White Island’ in search of its beautiful Balearic beaches, worldwide famous nightlife and quaint cobbled streets of the Old Town. Ibiza has loads to offer, including striking natural coves and countryside, fantastic history, stylish restaurants and a charismatic old quarter. Celebrities such as supermodel Kate Moss, Jade Jagger, actress Sienna Miller and US rapper/producer P Diddy have all been spotted in cosmopolitan Ibiza.

Morocco

You’ll be surprised how easy it is to slip into another culture when visiting the golden sands of Morocco. Expect sophisticated minarets and rugged mud-brick walls, glistening coastlines lapping upon silken sand and striped canyons carved out of the High Atlas Mountains. Whether you visit Morocco for the sunshine or to trek across the hot deserts via camel, we can guarantee that you will be charmed by its medieval cities, particularly Fez and Marrakech. Both Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon have been spotted in Marrakech recently.

Berlin

Berlin has slowly emerged as one of Europe’s liveliest cities. Prenzlauer Berg, once a run down area of East Berlin, is now known as one of the hippest districts, with chic bars and restaurants lining its historic streets. No trip to the city would be complete without stopping off at the Brandenburg Gate and for a relaxing afternoon, take a stroll through Tiergarten – a huge park in the city centre. The city’s annual film festival attracts an array of celebrities such as Madonna and Mischa Barton. Tom Cruise’s upcoming film Valkyrie was also filmed here and the actor was regularly visited on set by wife Katie Holmes.

Las Vegas

Stars such as Cameron Diaz, Britney Spears and Ashton Kutcher have all holidayed in Las Vegas – and it’s not hard to see why! The bright lights, mega-bucks gambling and extravagant shows have made this one of the most glamourous cities in the world.  For a bite to eat in the flamboyant metropolis, visit eateries such as Wynn’s SW Steakhouse, where you may bump into regulars including Tom Cruise. You can also count on Las Vegas to have bags of style; it’s a shopaholic’s paradise. Where else can you see the sights of New York, Paris and Egypt all in one fun-filled afternoon?

Prague

Prague, capital of the Czech Republic, lies at the heart of Central Europe. An exciting history, fascinating sightseeing and good value entertainment make this one of the true must-see cities in Europe. Prague is a stunning city through which the Vltava River flows, filled with a thousand years worth of manmade structures; it is the confluence of trade routes, political interests and cultural influences. Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Bono and Kylie Minogue have all visited this wonderful city.

What do you think of my essay?

ive already turned it in but i wanna know how it is
im in 8th grade (advanced)

Strengths and weaknesses. Hopes and dreams. Everyone has them. For strengths, I only have a few. The rest I think of as…in the middle, but for hopes and dreams, I have tons. I’m guessing goldfish would talk before any of my dreams coming true.
Most of my strengths are in school. My best is probably math. If I sucked at it, I doubt my parents would have even thought about trying to get me ahead. Although, I’m thinking I just failed the math test we just took. I haven’t failed anything in reading though. Reading has always come easy to me. My first grade teacher always had to get out special books for me just because the regular ones were too easy. I don’t really enjoy reading, but I do love the internet. I’m just good at figuring out websites quickly. But, I guess that’s just about everybody under the age of forty now. I guess these are my only real strengths. I’m pretty tough on myself though.
I can probably think of a million weaknesses for myself, but I’ll try to limit myself. I suck at writing. Everyone says not to say that but… I suck times twenty at writing. I’m so bad at it, that it should be illegal for me to write. This might explain why I’m horrible at science. It pretty much goes in one ear and out the other. I may not find science interesting, but getting my picture taken is worse. I hate getting my picture taken (as seen at lunch). Maybe I’m being a bit harsh, but I suppose I might take these weaknesses and make them strengths while I work on my dreams.
I honestly don’t know if any of my hopes and dreams are realistic. I guess I’ve always been a dreamer. I remember singing with my neighbor in her living room at 2 a.m. to Britney Spears. We both wanted to be incredibly famous singers. We would look up music in the middle of the night. We even planned our fame. That dream is long gone though. I still want to travel whether I’m famous or not. I want to go all over the US and Europe. Those are defiantly my two top places to visit, but I’d like to go everywhere including outer space. I’d be cool to have a lunar house, but the Moon seems a bit lonely right now. Of course, I’d have to be rich for all this to happen, and it would be perfect. I have a pretty big family, and I would LOVE to help them all out. I know the first thing I would do. I would move my aunt, uncle, and one of my cousins up here. I really don’t like the area they live in. It just makes me nervous having them down there. I could make sure everyone’s bills are paid and make sure that everyone gets a real vacation instead of just a one-day trip to Kalahari. Yeah, as if all that would ever come true.
So I have normal strengths and weaknesses, and crazy dreams. It’s always been that way, and it will probably always be. Sometimes dreams are better than reality though, so I guess I’m an insane dreamer full of weaknesses. My friends say I’m just insane, but I say that this world isn’t meant for me.
its not a college essay
its for the 8th grade
and i have a rough draft to PROVE i wrote it
plus my teacher knows i would never do that
and as i said in the essay, i SUCK at writing.
its the first of the year so itll get better
thanks (to most of you)
everytime i see a new answer, i get nervous :/

New Media. Who Needs It? We All Do Say New Media Editors And Experts

“Seven or eight years ago I was directing a story People Magazine was breaking on Jennifer Lopez calling off her wedding to Ben Afleck,” Managing Editor Todd Gold, Fancast.com told a standing-room only crowd of Entertainment Publicists Professional Society (EPPS) media workshop recently.

“It was significant, because it was the first time People Magazine had broken a story Online rather than saving it for the issue. It really ushered in the every minute news cycle, and the idea of a branding a story as you broke it was fascinating watching it break around the world. You could almost draw a map as it was picked up in Europe, then New York and then across the country. Now we work the same model but at different speeds.”

“Old media and traditional media right now are suffering from many crises and its very static,” said Gold.

“In terms of getting the message out it is old, and it does seem behind the times, while new media is dynamic, itâ??s writing rules as it goes, while tethering with some traditional standards.

Gold reported that Fancast.com gets seven million unique visitors a month, but they pay attention to smaller sites that are running and gunning, and it gives them a barometer of peopleâ??s interest.

“I think as a publicist, it is a good idea to pitch the big outlets like Entertainment Tonight and every show you can think of, but because of the Internet, you should pitch the bloggers, too,” said Former NBC Reporter and Hybrid Journalist Shire Lazar, a crossover media personality. “It is good to have your story on the big shows, and influential blogs that are not owned by CBS, NBC and the networks. They may have a better capability of making your story more viral.”

The panelists described showbiz and political media Online as the “wild, wild west, unfiltered, no fact checking and no rules.”

“It is fast and with the lack of filtering there are pros and cons,” said Francisco Dai, The Killer Pitch. “In the old days when Todd (Gold) was an editor at People we pitched him, and if he liked it he wrote it up. If he like the story, but didnâ??t like you, maybe he wrote it up in maybe a negative sense. But he did the writing and he chose the articles and it came off professionally. Because of the speed and lack of filtering in new media, thereâ??s nothing like Todd to write it up for you, or nobody like him to decide what actually deserves to be written up,” he said.

Some publicists make the mistake with new media thinking, “wow great, now I have a platform, I donâ??t need to suck up to journalists, so I get to put all our stuff out there. They put out a lot of junk, which clearly reflects on your clients or whatever you are trying to promote. Since there is a lack of journalistic filter, you need to learn how to filter it yourself, said the panelists.

The panel agrees that there is a lot of fear out there about new media. Michael Liskin, Online social networking consultant said, “People fear new media, they donâ??t always understand it, they ask which social networks do I get on, which ones are the best ones, how can I do this for my client and in what way? Itâ??s the integration of all the different channels and connecting them in a way that makes sense in reciprocal connections that can do a lot for your client and yourself.

He cited Britney Spearsâ?? site as a doing it right. Liskin advises, “just get going with new media. It is already happening without you anyway. So if you donâ??t get going, right off the bat, youâ??re already behind the eight ball,” he said. “Itâ??s very important to be part of it, to be part of the conversation.”

One example of how old media drags its potential burst was the story about Writer Michael Star, who has a TV column for the New York Post, and broke the story given to him exclusively by NBC about Saturday Night Live Alum Jimmy Fallon to host Conan Oâ??Brienâ??s vacated slot on Late Night. Then a news release came out the next day and more than three thousand articles hit the Internet on Friday, Feb. 20, 2009. The bloggers pick it up where traditional media left off. The old way is to give it to a site and hope it gets picked up, but today itâ??s faster with sites like Facebook, Twitter and other social networks.

“We donâ??t have venture capital, and Iâ??m the only full time employee at the site along with two volunteer writers for our large audience, but I will get 50 emails an hour while trying to write posts,” said Editor Zach Behrens, LAist.com, one of LAâ??s most popular entertainment news blogs. “So a lot of things get kicked to the side. Everyone wants to pitch us. To me a lot of it is about developing relationships. You really have to pitch useful headlines in your email that grabs us. For me I have found instant messaging has been the best way to pitch.

“A phone call takes me away from everything, but instant messaging I do things at the same time. I can get files through, and someone sitting at their desk all day I can ask, â??hey just a follow-up question about this story, or can you send it to me.â?? Or with people I have developed relationships on Mondays I instant message everyone and say, â??hey whatâ??s going on in the art scene this week, because I need to know about it or assign a story.â?? Those instant message conversations reduce spam. Itâ??s like twitter, we are so immediate and we always want to be original in our reporting, but if I am calling for a quick quote, Iâ??m ready to go to press in five minutes.”

“The number one reason stories viral out on the Internet is news,” said Fancastâ??s Managing Editor Todd Gold. “It doesnâ??t change from traditional media when you have something hot that people want to know about. The subcategory of that is you have something quirky, funny, a twist on whatever. Two examples: We had a Dancing With The Stars contestant blogging on our site last season exclusively, and when she got sick and went to the hospital she blogged about it, and it was picked up everywhere. Or something quirky: The head of Menza gave us a list of the smartest TV shows ever. It got picked up around the world. It is really about the best news and information. In terms of pitching Fancast.com, weâ??ve been new and under the radar. We have been making sure the usual experience is a phenomenal one in terms of watching video.”

Fancast streams hundreds of TV shows and 9,000 hours of full length episodes in current hits, classics and past shows so we go the experience right. Now we combine it with editorial. “We are competing with TV Guide and Entertainment Weekly at that level so we are looking for big stories. One of the great things of working Online as opposed to a magazine is we have unlimited space, we donâ??t worry about paper cuts, so we do as much as we can with every pitch that our human resources allow.”

“New media runs the gamete,” said Francisco Dao, Media Consult, The Killer Pitch.

“New media can be everything from a fan site to your twitter account. You really need to do it all. It is fast, where I can take it or you can take it and go directly to the audience. Thatâ??s how I see it.”

Dao cited Miamiâ??s Basketball Star Shaquille Oâ??Neal story. Shaq recently got on Twitter.com and tweeted a question direct and unfiltered asking, “what should I have for dinner at Quiznos?â?? Shaq doesnâ??t always think about what heâ??s saying and will do quirky popular things. It makes him that much more likeable. Now, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore have a Twitter account but are more careful. They still do movies, still do interviews on ET, but the new media is the ability for everyone sitting on this panel to go direct, go unfiltered, to have conversations with their audience. And maybe a different conversation,” Dai said.

According to Gold at Fancast.com, standards of quality are being incorporated into in a new model of the future. He said, “If you are pitching a story in a newspaper or a magazine, youâ??re hoping that story is interesting enough that the reader remembers to tune into that show or program their DVR.

“When you go on to Fancast.com, youâ??re getting a story, embedded in the story youâ??re getting the full episode or a preview clip as well as pictures, along with tune-in information. It is all right there and it is immediate. People are reading the story, watching the TV show, their watching the preview, they get tune-in info and soon theyâ??ll be able to hit a button and program their DVR right from that story.”

Family Fun in Las Vegas

From amusement park rides to animal exhibits and shows, there are lots of activities that make Las Vegas a great vacation destination for the whole family.

The most family friendly hotel in Las Vegas is Circus Circus. This Hotel and Casino is designed for families with children, from the world’s largest permanent circus right in the middle of the casino to the Adventuredome amusement park. The Adventuredome is America’s largest indoor theme park, which is enclosed under a five and a half acre glass dome. The park has rides for real thrill seekers as well as rides for younger children.

At the North end of the Las Vegas Strip, the Stratosphere has rides that teens and older children may enjoy. On the top of a tower at an amazing 921 feet off the ground you’ll find three rides: Insanity The Ride, X-Scream, and the Big Shot. The Big Shot is the most popular ride which shoots you up at 45 miles an hour up 160 feet in the air in a matter of seconds.

Another activity families can enjoy together in Las Vegas is Madam Tussauds Interactive Wax Museum at the Venetian. People can pose with and take pictures of figures of over one hundred celebrities and icons including Johnny Depp, Barack Obama, Elvis Presley, Britney Spears, Brad Pitt, and many more.

The Mirage also has attractions for the whole family in Las Vegas with the Secret Garden and the Dolphin Habitat. The Secret Garden is the home to many lions, tigers, and leopards including Seigfried and Roy’s tigers. In the Dolphin Habitat, visitors can stand by and view the dolphins or they can get more involved with the Trainer for a Day program where they are able to get in the water and interact with the dolphins.

The Mirage is not the only place in Las Vegas where you can observe wild animals. The MGM Grand has a lion exhibit representing the iconic MGM roaring lion logo. The MGM Grand’s lions take shifts in the exhibit, traveling back and forth between the hotel and their permanent home at a 8.5 acre ranch. There will generally only be a few lions in the exhibit at any given time, but there are actually thirty-one lions in all.

Another animal exhibit in Las Vegas fun for adults and kids alike is the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, which features many different species of sharks, fish, and turtles. Even after seeing the Shark Reef, your wild animal experience at Mandalay Bay is not over, because this hotel and casino is also home to the Las Vegas production of the Broadway musical The Lion King. This awe-inspiring musical is fantastic entertainment for people of all ages. Even though tickets are somewhat expensive, this stunning show is worth the money and no trip to Las Vegas is complete without seeing a great show.
